Hot Springs: The Salida Hot Springs Pool is a favorite for everyone, just 1 mile from the Tudor Rose on Hwy 50. This covered pool offers a warm-water section for soaking, and cool water lap lanes as well.

Ghost Towns: Whether you rent a jeep, or have your own transportation, we can point you to some of the State of Colorado’s finest ghost towns. Within an hour’s drive you can explore the old mining communities of St. Elmo, Turret, or Bonanza. Take a picnic and make a day of it for you and your family.

Fishing: The Arkansas River, just a half mile from The Tudor Rose, affords some of the best fly fishing opportunities in the country. Whether you wade or float, check out these experts and treat your self to a half or full day guided day of fishing on the Arkansas.

Golf: Enjoy a round of 9 or 18 holes at Salida’s municipal course, just 15 minutes from The Tudor Rose. They have a driving range, carts, and club rentals available, and their on-site café makes a tasty lunch between rounds.

ATV Rental: There are many trails and some County Roads around Chaffee County that are ATV-friendly. Local outfitters can help with maps to all the necessary equipment to get you into the hills and fantastic scenery and share their “Tread Lightly” philosophy.
