THE TUDOR ROSE B&B AND CHALETS POLICIES

Our Inn uses self-check-in, so you may arrive anytime after 4:00pm. No early check-ins or late check-outs, sorry for any inconvenience.

Please note: As of June 1, 2020 the Inn will no longer serve a hot breakfast. We will still have granola bars, yogurt and coffee available.

Inn Policies:
Dogs: Guests are NOT allowed to bring pets to the main Inn, they are allowed in the cabins. However, please note that the owners' Pomeranian, Moose, may be in the main house with them from time to time. Service dogs trained to complete a specific task are welcome at no charge.
Check-In: After 4 pm
There will be an envelope on the door of the main house with your name and instructions for check-in.
Check-Out: 10:30AM
Deposit: 50% of total reservation cost will be charged at check-in, the remainder will be charged the morning of arrival.
Cancellations:
- Cancellations with 30 days or more notice before check-in incur no fee or penalty
- Cancellations made 15-30 days before check-in can receive a refund for 50% of total reservation cost
- Cancellations made 14 days or less before check-in are non-refundable
Children: Children over 10 years old are welcome in the bed and breakfast


Chalet Policies

Check-In: After 4 pm
There will be an envelope on the door of the main house with your name and instructions for check-in.
Check-Out: 11AM
Capacity: 6 people maximum per chalet, please inform us if there are more than 2 guests as extra charges apply.
Deposit: 50% deposit charged upon reservation, balance charged morning of arrival
Chalet Cancellation:
- Cancellations with 30 days or more notice before check-in incur no fee or penalty
- Cancellations made 15-30 days before check-in can receive a refund for 50% of total reservation cost
- Cancellations made 14 days or less before check-in are non-refundable
Amenities/Access: Breakfast and hot tub access are not included with chalet rental.

Dogs
All Chalets are dog friendly, $10 per dog per night.
1. Evidence of pets on the furniture will incur an additional cleaning fee.
2. Leashes are required around the Chalets and while walking your dog(s).
3. You must pick up after your pet. Failure to do so will incur additional cleaning fees.
4. No dog may be left unattended in a chalet unless it is kenneled or crated.


Chalet Cleaning
We do not charge a cleaning fee with your Chalet rental; we just ask that you return the Chalet in the condition in which it was received.

There are a few basic things we ask you to do:
1. All dishes, pots, pans, glasses, utensils etc. must be washed, dried and put away in a clean condition.
2. If you make a mess, please clean it up.
3. All of your trash, from all the trash cans should be taken to our dumpster.
4. Damage or messes caused by dogs will incur an additional fee charged to card on file. This includes dog hair left on furniture.
5. Do not make beds that you have used, leave them unmade. Place all dirty towels, kitchen towels etc. in the laundry basket and leave near the front door.

Notify us immediately if it appears the Chalet is dirty or damaged upon check in.

Please note: We will use the credit card we have on file if we have to charge for additional cleaning or damage. The minimum additional cleaning fee is $75.

Winter guests, please be advised that there is a steep hill at the entrance to The Tudor Rose and four wheel drive is needed when it snows. It is rare that the property is inaccessible, but we are not responsible for guests who cannot access the property due to inadequate vehicles in a snowstorm.

Travel Insurance
There are many types of travel insurance that may protect you in the event you need to cancel within the cancellation policy.

Horse Boarding: We have stalls, paddocks and pastures available for horses of our overnight guests. To avoid any inconvenience, we require current negative coggins and health papers on all horses. $10.50 per horse per night.

Updates impacting your stay
After more than 25 years building the Tudor Rose into a thriving and much-loved vacation destination, Jon and Terre retired from the bed and breakfast business and sold it to us.

We are excited to make the Ranch reflect who we are; and in that spirit, we will be changing much of the decor towards a modern cabin style decor.

We will also be slowly updating some of our systems to be more efficient and user-friendly. For example, we hope to streamline the check- in process, install keypad locks and improve the usability of our website.

We also have an official mascot/inn dog/head of security in the form of a 9 pound Pomeranian named Moose. Moose may be with us in the main house when we are working there, but will not be in any of the bedrooms.

If you feel any of these changes will negatively impact your stay, please reach out to us and we will do whatever we can to make you comfortable.

A little more about us:
We have spent much of our careers in corporate jobs (Mike in legal and finance and Sara in marketing and medical device sales). Earlier this year we both decided the time was right to make career and lifestyle changes. We agreed that a bed and breakfast or guest ranch would be fulfilling for both of us and we were lucky enough to find the Tudor Rose for sale in one of our favorite towns, Salida. We are new to hospitality and would appreciate any feedback (positive or negative) that you think might improve the guest experience here at the Tudor Rose. We look forward to growing with all of you and can’t wait to show you what we have in store!

AUTO-COLLECT
A 50 percent deposit is collected at the time of purchase. Payment for retail items and gift certificates is collected at the time of purchase.

CHILDREN & PETS
Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Children age 1 and under stay free. Pets are welcome. All Chalets are dog friendly, $10 per dog per night Dogs may not be left alone in the Chalet unless kenneled or crated and must be on a leash while walking them. Dogs must be kept off of the furniture. Evidence of dogs on the furniture will incur an additional cleaning fee. You must pick up after your pet. Dogs must not cause damage to premises or furnishings. If damage occurs, the cost of the damage will be charged to the credit card on file
